The Three Levels of Drug Knowledge

Throughout your pharmacy career from your first day as a pharmacy undergraduate to the day you retire you will always be learning new (and hopefully interesting) things about drugs. Whilst it may be difficult to gauge the "knowledge" between two experienced pharmacists there is an obvious distinct gap between that of an experienced pharmacist and that of an undergraduate. Despite the extensive syllabi of the schools of pharmacy, and the plethora of post-graduate courses and CPD workshops you may embark upon it is my opinion that you will learn more about drugs in your pre-registration year and your first year as a registered pharmacist than in all your other years put together. I have thus attempted to distinguish between the knowledge level of someone at this stage of their career, in contrast to someone at the beginning of their career as an undergraduate, or someone who has been practicing for a number of years.

I hope you will see them as a bit of fun, but they have a serious element too - if you fail to achieve a reasonable score at the level you are currently at, then perhaps you need to sit down and do some extra background reading.
